System has design flaws ranging from annoyances to those that make it unacceptable and render good solutions like directional antenna, rotating base of camera irrelevant. 1) bright blue LEDs on camera base have to be taped not to disturb baby 2) DC power adapter cords too short 3) most important: loud crackling every 5-10 seconds 4) poor insulation/filtering on 50Hz that results in constant distinct 50Hz noise... I called BebeSounds. They redirected me to Graco that acquired the product line who offered to send replacement received... in 2 weeks as it was back-ordered... My monitor is going back. Though not ideal, looks like Summer brand has a better system.
