I have many different slings/carriers to compare this wrap with. I like this one because of the snuggly close contact, even weight distribution and security. However, it is cumbersome to put on being that the fabric is very lengthy. It's not as easy on and off as a sling carrier. Also, we couldn't use this one for awhile due to hot temperatures, it's definitely for cooler climates. Another downside in comparison to my slings is that it is not easy to go from a sleeping position to a nursing and vice versa. I definitely use my sling for nursing and this wrap if I know my baby is sleepy. It is great for that, literally within minutes of getting her in the tummy to tummy position, she is fast asleep! So overall, I recommend this wrap, but wouldn't say it's the only carrier you'll need. Get a sling too!
